Default Need tires mounted anywhere in Houston area

I just got my rims powder coated and 3 places can't do it without possibly putting scratches on the rim. NTB told me they need metal on metal contact and it will remove the powder coat from the lip.

Discount tire has done mine before just ask them to put a towl or tape on the metal clamps so it doesn't scratch.

Discount Tire just tell them up front to be extra careful. If you really want some one with the badass machine that doesnt touch the wheel try EVS Motors but they are far from you.

discount tire 59/kirby my old manager Matt Souder works there and is the manager there. he has a tire changer just like the one in the link. when i worked there i used this machine and it was bad ***. i could change any wheel and tire like it was nothing. this changer does not scratch the wheels 100% of the time. depending on the wheel diameter and width depends on the price. but if you want 100% guarentee to not have the wheel scratched go to him. tell him thomas sent you. (fyi no perks for me he is just a genuine good guy.)

02CamaroSSLE, I'll try that DT. Here's a few shots of them. OEM C5Z in flat black. I dropped them off on Thursday evening and they were ready for pickup Monday afternoon. For being 11 year old rims they look like they just came out of the factory. Thankfully the previous owner didn't hit curbs with them. They couldn't do the caps so they sold me a spray can of what would be a direct match to them.

Any white is from a towel on the inside spokes. The powder coat is flawless. I would highly recommend Precision Powder in Spring, Tx. 80 for the fronts (17s) and 90 for the rears (18s). The old man did tell me this is the hardest finish to keep scratch free. Now I'm looking in the engine bay thinking what else I can get PC'd Chrome lugs or black? Anyone know a place to get black ones that would match my wheels?

I've never used them but American Wheel and Tire off 290. They seem like they deal with some high end cars and wheels.

You find someone good let us know. I had new tires put on yesterday and they dropped and chipped the powder coating on mine and put a dint in the polish part and said they didn't do it. Every time l mess with discount tire there are issues the place sucks with no customer service and their discount prices are a joke

You should ask for the district manager contact info to get that taken care of. Discount tire in dallas scratched one of my girls Work wheels and they just cut me a check for $500 to have the anodized barrel replaced.

i've had great luck at the discount tire on 59 and beechnut. they have kept my zr1 wheels and truck wheels scratch free. both sets have been mounted and dismounted

i did have a problem with the willowbrook discount tire. 1960 just past the railroad tracks across from best buy. they scratched my truck wheels. but did come back offering to buy me an entire new set. when i went to pick them up they tried to get me to pay for them. which after some arguing back and forth i got them done for free.

i've always just made sure to state use tape weights and be very careful. they'll hold responsibility if you keep on them

Discount Tire
117 Gulf Freeway North
League City, TX 77573

They actually have a touchless one and don't charge extra. Cost me less than 60 to get all 4 done and with zero scratches.

Don't take no for an answer. I stand where I can watch them working on my cars. My DD had the wheels scratched up long ago and refinished. The refinish has never been as durable. Discount Tire has refinished the wheels on that car 3 times without giving me any trouble. I am just clear when they write it up that I expect them to be careful because they have damaged them before. When they have scratched them, I tell the guy to stop, go in and get the manager, and ask him how he wants to handle the refinishing. It's not that hard.
