Default Thinking of spraying the car

I put this car together for just something to play with till I saved up for Twin Turbo's. Until then running in motor is gonna be boring so I'm thinking of adding 100-150 shot on the car.

How do you think it will react to my current all motor cam setup?

cam specs:
637/615 231/238, 111+1

Combo:
95 mustang at about 3250lbs
LQ9 stock bottom end
L92 Stock heads with Valvesprings and Ti retainers
Ls3 intake and 90mm Nick Williams TB
Th350
Holley HP EFI
Dynatech 1 7/8's headers

current form it made 446Hp / 396Tq at the wheels

This is a pump gas car so I don't plan on anything more than 150 to keep it in one piece...

Cool setup! I'm running a LQ9 as well but with a different HCI, and make around the same power as you n/a, and about another 80 rwhp/140 rwtq on a 100 shot. So that might give you a little bit of an idea

He has the Holley system so there will be no need for a timing box to pull timing.

He also has a th350 trans, no window switch needed or a FPSS because the Holley system can be programmed to do a lean shutdown.

Did you read his post?

If you need any help with cam stuff, get in touch with Martin@tick, I am sure he may chime in on this, but you can always PM him. Looks like you have a nice setup.

Thanks Garrett for the mention.

For his set-up, only spraying a 100-150 shot I feel the cam he has will do just fine. No real need to change it although I feel he may be better suited with a LS3 specific grind as his is a little off from what I'd like to see.

That said, it will still work fine IMO.

Thanks Martin, That's what i was figuring. Since its pump gas i can't get away with that big of a shot.
Just better off asking before I find out it lays over with that cam or worse off eats a rod/piston....

That cam was a Pat G spec'd for max effort pump gas N/A.... from last January so I bet someone found a better way to do it since then

Just something to keep me satisfied until the motor gets upgraded and the twin kit is built.... LOL

Every cam grinder will have his own theory on what works. What's very interesting, is even if you talk to 5 different cam guys, though their theories are all different, the specs are similar.

The end result is what matters. A good end result is accomplished with proper planning and preparation.

I definitely agree there, I am happy with the way the car turned out. For a 1200 JY motor and $750 heads and intake I'm satisfied for now...... but that never lasts long

Now here's the good question.....

Which kit do I go with... Dry or wet????

The Holley supports both. I think with the Dry kit the Holley will be easier to control it all.

Do you already have enough injector to support a dry shot?

I'm running 42's, I don't think they are gonna be enough, So I may just look into a Brand X LSX Wet kit. or an NX kit. pricing is about the same

With a wet kit you really don't need to set up the injectors because there is a seep rate solenoid for fuel.
