Default Hoses!

Hey there folks, firstly Happy New Year to ya all !

Right down to business!,

Ive got a LT1 in my 69 Chevelle, the top and bottom rad hoses are pretty much ready for the bin. Does any one know what hoses will fit my car with stock radiator and my LT1 motor?

being in the uk i want to order the correct hoses first time round from the states.

cheers guys.
Dan.

Do you have a LT1 or LT-1? Their two different engines. One is fuel injected and the other is carbureted...

Hey Hippy!

I can assume you didn't build this car, you bought it with the conversion already done.

Unfortunately, our conversions section is pretty much for the later LS engines.

I would suggest you examine the hoses closely, all around them. Hopefully, you'll find a part number silk screened somewhere.

Yeah, that was gonna be my next advice. Some websites show an illustration of hoses, see if any from a 1994~1996 Impala SS is similar to what you have.

This may not be useful.
When I swapped the LT1 out of my wrecked 97 Camaro Z28 in to a 91 RS Camaro I used the factory 91 upper hose and the 97 lower hose.
I think on the lower hose I had to cut the bottom a bit shorter.

I was going to say take a look at the 94-96 Caprice/Impala hoses. Just be careful what you look at the tow package cars had a length of steel pipe in the lower hose where it went past the mechanical fan, the non-tow package cars just had an all rubber..

When I needed hoses I bought the GoodYear HiMiler ones, they are an awful blue but are longer lasting than rubber and sturdier than silicon
