Or Heads Cam. 228R and some CNC'd 243's may have enough **** to stay even.

You're gonna get a lot of **** for posting this thread here so I'll be the nice guy and give you the heads up: If you go to the top of the Street Racing section there is a section called "Bench Racing", that is where you would post this thread for future reference.

Having said that, with just bolt-on's you will not be able to win against a C7. Average trap speed for those cars is 117-119mph from what I've seen. With your mods you would probably see 111-113mph. You will need a solid cam only setup (maybe heads/cam), or some nitrous if you want to be able to win.

Good luck.

find a formula that can consistently trap low 120s and you should have no problem beating a stock Stingray, removing other factors like driver skills, tires, etc. From what I've seen auto C7s launch pretty darn hard

Wrong section, either way i had a full bolt on LS1 with 75 shot dry, terrible A/F come to find out but i was barely able to pull a win on a stock LS3 Vette and those pull around 370-385 rwhp the new stingray is probably about 410rwhp give or take a bit. I would say you would need full bolt ons with heads and cam and a very good tune or full bolt ons with a 100 wet shot good tune. Thats just my opinion im sure you'll get different opinions but its hard to tell till you race one with those mods and just see what happens.

Agreed.

Haven't seen you post here in a while. How'd you go from all those cars in your sig back to an LT1?

I would honestly say a decent H/C setup if you want to be sure. Vette's always have good top end as well, with their different gearing and aero. Us F-Body guys are usually **** out of luck after the limiter in 4th gear lol.

Yeah, what he said. Ls4 impala with wire loom, hood scoops, and a magnaflowmaster exhaust should do the trick. Might want to put stickers in your windows to to have the edge.

Add a nice cnc'd heads and cam combo to your list and you should be good.

you could easily beat a new stingray with a "bolt on" ls1, but it's not cheap and most people don't want to do it.

A strong running bolt on/tune LS1 can run low 12s or 12 flat no prob and plenty have broken 11s on drag radials... Average C7 runs about a 12 flat no? I don't see why it would take CNCed 243s, cam, intake, and spray to run 11s in an f-body you guys are out of your mind. No love whatsoever for the LS1 anymore man...

I'd love to hear how boltons on an LS1 could easily beat a new Vette. Unless you're talking about Nitrous and slicks/skinnies racing, or gears...and going only 1/4 mile. From a roll...forget it.

Again, show me without nitrous. Maybe if the track conditions were perfect, you had every bolton available, gear swap, and you were on slicks/skinnies. Like I said above, from a roll...forget about it.

Eiither way, it would be a tall task without getting a cam...
