BW s475, 476, 480 users come in :)
I'm in the process of trying to go for my holy grail of 1000+whp. From what I am finding I think the only option that is fitting into my budget is the BW S400 series turbos.
For anyone running these turbo's can you give me some details on your setup? Specifically how the turbo spools, your whp and boost level? I have a bit over 700whp now on a t7875 turbo@15psi. The spool is nearly instant as of now and I know I can't expect that with a much larger turbo but I also do not want a turbo that will just hit my number but be incredibly laggy on the street.
I am thinking of either building my current LS6 block or building an iron 6.0... still undecided.
Any input is greatly appreciated

Exactly what I was thinking. Turn up what you have. Someone made 996 on a precision 76 and they are identical. Do you have an ET goal or do you just want to make "1000whp" like everyone else.

I'm on a stock block right now so I haven't turned it up. I really think the 7875 is going to struggle to hit 1000whp and I have someone interested in buying it. My thoughts are to upgrade the turbo to something I know will hit my goals but for this season keep my hp right around 700-750 where I'm at now as I build the block over the summer/next winter for the 1000+ goal.

See I'm right on par with those numbers right now, I'm right around 720 or so on 15psi and I'm spooling nearly instantly. I've heard the s400 turbo's don't really start to make serious power until 15+ psi though?

Yes mine at 8psi only made little over 500. 17psi made 755 on a short Dyno pull of 5800 rpm. Picked up 250rwhp adding 9psi. Didn't chg timing or anything. 11.0 AF as well. Turbo woke up for sure.

Turn it up to 20+ it won't shine till then. Or go s480 billet and shoot for that number. If your a manual it will dyno very well. Th400 not so much. Get a cam specd for the set up go twin scroll and a nice tune and it will spool instantly. I sometimes wish mine would spool slower so I could get ready for it on the street lol

Standard cheapo. 96mm turbine, 1.32ar, standard cover. Twin 10gph meth nozzles using 100%. 14* timing. It hasn't been tuned on the methanol. I added on myself after the initial 8psi tune. I just watched afrs and cranked the boost.

Yes sir, injectors are maxed out completely so at the very least those are being upgraded this winter. I'm running twin 14gph meth nozzles right now so that does help the 60's some.

I do really like that about the BW s400 series turbos, looks like if I max it out it's super simple to upgrade a couple things and make my goal without having to buy an entirely new turbo.
I'm still just concerned with the spool though, it's an m6 car and always will be. The block is either going to be my current LS6 with some forged internals or a 6.0 iron block.

On our 370" engine during it's mayden voyage weekend we went 130mph to the 1/8th on gate spring alone, with a S400Sx4-80 from Work Turbochargers.
Went 8.65@142, and he shut off 7.2 seconds into the run.
Killer little turbo for sure.
