Could be, but with no evidence whatsoever I'd expect the Gen 3 CTS-V to be equipped with a slightly less powerful motor possibly a detuned version of this powerplant sort of like the LS9/LSA.

Imagine, though, having 620 hp in the new CTS-V.

These power levels are getting to be basically retarded for DD luxury cars. GM needs AWD to get traction to the ground.

For what it's worth, my last issue of motortrend said to expect 600hp in the next V. It was in the cts car of the year issue.

I have thought this forever. Its only a matter of time. 600hp is awesome, but putting all of that to the ground efficiently is even better!

I never liked the c7's when they came out. I thought they were ugly but they are really growing on me, excited for the c7z to come out. Also curious what the V3 is going to be all about

yeah i read a while back somewhere the ECU in the c7 is ready to take them with all kinds of new **** in it. direct injection and turbos are going to be where **** goes real soon i would assume. but GM loves those SC's and the torque.

same can be said about the ECU for the 98 camaro. depends on the tuner, not the computer itself.

i thought it had boost by gear and other things in it though. i dont think a 98 camaro has that. could be mistaken on the boost by gear. but obviously many people have success with turbos on stock ecu's
