need opinions on cam selection lq4 with 243 ported heads
My build is 93 s10 blazer weighs 3k motor is lq4 with ported 243 duel springs stainless valves , Vic Jr efi intake . Trans is built 4l60e with HD shift kit etc and yank 3600 .rear end is 8.8 ford with 373 gears .help me make a cam selection , it will be just a run driver maybe some bracket racing but not its main purpose .

I think something in the 224 - 228 range is appropriate
to your chosen converter and anything below .600 lift
won't be too limited by the 243s. If you go with more
lobe separation you'll make your life easier, tuning the
drivability stuff.
The Vic EFI is maybe not well matched to this though?
That seems to me more like for somebody wanting
max RPM horsepower more than drivability and torque
at street RPM. But then, in an ***-light little overgeared
truck it's not like you're going to put it to the ground
anyhow.

I was panning on running a similar setup and bought a 228/232 587/598 cam based on a buddies recommendation for a good mid range and decent driveability. Not sure if this cam would need more than 3600 stall, since i'm running a t56.
