Default LS3 intake question

alright so i'm new to the whole chevy scene and stuff so don't make fun of me if i may say something wrong or whatever, i'm used to the Honda scene. Anyways i'm planning on buying a chevy truck real soon i was thinking of a 05 crew cab with 5.3 vortec. my question is will a ls3 intake fit on the 5.3 i got the intake with the injectors and fuel rail for free so i would like to put it to use. if not what mods would have to be done or engine will it fit?

I don't think the LS3 intake will fit a 5.3 that old. Not worth it anyway. The truck intake is fine.

No it will not fit. 5.3 is cathedral port and LS3 is square port. you would need heads and rocker arms for it to fit and a 5.3 is too small of a bore for the LS3 top end to do any good. you need atleast a 4" bore like a 6.0 has.

LS3 manifolds are pretty easy to come by. I see several brand new takeoffs on Ebay for 250ish bare, 3-400 with rails and injectors.
