Got My Car Back....Kind Of....

Got My Car Back....Kind Of.... I finally got my car out of the body shop, unfortunately it is not all there, as several of you told me it wouldn't be, the original guy let a lot of things "disappear", and he is no longer the owner of the business, so I'll never get a thing out of him, but the car is back in my possession, just gotta slowly get the things that are gone....
things missing or messed up:
hood struts gone
CDT front speakers gone
hatch doesn't appear lined up correctly, light is on in the dash, and hatch won't stay up
TransAM letters on doors have to be put back on
rearview mirror has been changed
all my LEDs inside are gone
HIDs in headlights are replaced with regular bulbs
1 foglight is broken-GOT A SET OFF A MEMBER HERE
LED bulbs from drls are gone
they started the TCS relocation but didn't finish it-TCS OFF light is on inside
holes in engine bay have been welded, but engine bay was never painted
radio is halfway out of the dash, has to be put back in like it belongs
box containing new blackbird stripes is missing
license plates are gone
one of the access doors under the car to the drls is not even on the car, other one is just hanging
WS6 badge on the back has to be put back on
LED 3rd brake light on high rise spoiler is gone
I have a whole box of screws and such and have no idea where any of them go!!!

I could I guess, but ya can't get blood out of a turnip. I think it's probably best to just call it a learning experience, be greatful nothing else is gone, and try to slowly acquire what I need to get it back how it was....

sorry to hear about your experience. Do not know whole story. Glad you got the car back though.
I do have some amber leds brand new for the turns and a bunch of misc. leds for interior / lisc. plate lights if you like. Pm me if you like.

I remember you posting about this- really sucks,,, But- on the bright side you did get the car back and it isn't missing a motor or Trans.
Hate that you went through it and I know it went on for a while but I think your smart to take this as a lesson learned and move on. You aren't going to get any money out if the guy- only cause yourself extra stress by chasing him down.
You have some work to do but on the big picture it is all small stuff. Hood/hatch struts, bulbs, etc..
I'll look through my stuff but I have mostly LT1 parts.

You are right, it's all small stuff, and the main thing is I got the car back pretty much in one piece. Think I've got the hood struts, rearview mirror, and some screws found in the parts classified of the forum so far.....

LMK if you still need a rearview mirror. Rattle can spray tint on my back glass makes everything look like swamp water anyways.

Which side are you missing? I'm missing one side too and already planned on making something else there.
