Default 656HP 427 for sale - cheap!

Category: Engine - Complete Motors
Price: $8000
Part Fits: Corvette, 04-06 Pontiac GTO, 04+ Cadillac CTS-V
Location (State): MD
Item Condition: Used
Engine: LS2/LS3/LS7/L92/LS9
LS Engine?: Fits LS Engine

Thanks everyone. The engine is SOLD!

I totaled my C5 Corvette on December 6th and we're parting it out. The great news is that the engine survived the crash.

The engine is a very mild LS2 with Darton sleeves 427CI. It made 656 on a Superflo engine dyno and 576RW on a DJ. The engine is being sold complete from the modified FAST 107 w/ NW 107TB to the pan and everything in between.

The top-end was redone 130 miles before the wreck:
WCCH LS3 heads with new Manley 22143 springs
New Manley Ti retainers
New CHE rockers
Johnson Link-bar lifters
Valve job

The engine was built by Shawn Miller and has a total of about 5k street miles only. 4.125 bore x 4.00 stroke. You could pull stumps with this build

From FAST to pan...$8,000 and this is a steal!

The entire build thread is in my sig.

Damn Kevin that is a steal I would have figured at least $10,500 for your motor. If I could have seen into the future I would have waited and bought your motor instead of my 402.

Started hunting around in your build thread, but that bad boy is 50+ pages long so I'll just ask here...

Could you give the details of the rotating assembly in the motor? Thanks!

The 403 started out as a SDPC 403 with Eagle crank and rods. I believe when Shawn did the 427, he used Wiseco pistons and I do know he used nitrited rings - which should wear forever.

I thought about putting 7-8lbs on it just for $hits and grins. Shawn said it would handle it fine.

NA it's a beast. Very schizophrenic. Very mild just driving around but mash the gas and the SHTF. Rick Kim has done a lot of drive train work on the car and tell me that of all the high HP cars he's driven including 800+RWHP blower cars, my car was the only one the scared him enough to back off in third gear.

800 RWHP sounds just about right with your motor running 8 pounds of boost. Scary indeed. It'd be going in another convertible too so it'd feel right at home

Talk about a death sled.

Man, good luck with the sale. id be all over it, if I was much earlier in my project. Ive got close to 7K in a stock LS3 GM crate with a cam and intake swap. An extra 150HP at the wheels for a 1000.00 up charge sounds like cheap, cheap HP to me! Bump for ya.

A copy of my engine was built and sold for twice what I'm asking.
