Default Please post your GZ Vaccum Pump Set ups..

Could you guys please post picts of you GZ vaccum pump set up.. I want to see how you set up your vaccum pump .. Hopefully some of you still have AC since that is how I will be running mine.. Please if you could take a pict of where you have the Breather Tank held on to, I havent seen no picts of where everyone is putting theirs..

Also TSP instructions say to place breathers filters on each valve cover especially in Stroke engines (such as mine 383 ci). Will this be necessary with the pump ?

Thanks for the Help..

I don't have one myself, but I know Greg and his company (GZ Motorsports). He has some LSx install photos on his site:
http://www.gzmotorsports.com/sample-installations.html
Also I know he has one on his personal mostly stock C5 Zo6 that should still have AC on it, but I think the accessory config on a vette is a little different from the f-body.
I'm sure if you contact him he'd be more than happy to help with any questions you have.

I installed one on a SBF, so I don't have any pictures that will help you.

With a pump you want the engine sealed. You want the pump line to be the only escape route for gasses. Otherwise you'll be sucking air through the valve cover breathers, and not the crank case.

Moroso pump, AEICNC Bracket
ATI Crank Hub with Gilmer Drive and ATI Crank pulley

mounts where the stock Fbody AC Compressor would normally mount

I can't get pictures now but I ended up pulling out the cruise control module and moving the condensor to the space under the drivers side fender. I know they say you can put this in without moving the AC but I couldn't seem to make it fit.

Thanks to all of you who responded .. I been a little busy with the engine. The car is running now and runs great .. I went today to install the Vacuum pump and delete the breathers ect and I dont see how this thing can fit with the AC dryer (little tank) there.. Ill try to post a pict later on so you guys can see.

I tried contacting GZ Motorsports but the phone rings forever and no answer. Will call tomorrow again..

Anyone care to share some picts with the vacuum pump and AC installed?

Here are the picts and this is the closest Ive been able to have the things fit. As you can see the I still have to move the accumulator around 2 inches further in and the exit fitting of the vacuum pump is on the way..
