Default sellin my carb for a fast ez efi 2.0

I need fuel injection so I dont have to change jets 6 times a year any more and worry. My plan was a whipple but im gunna get the wheels tires rear end and cage done before I put more power down. Im going to hit it with my 100 hp jets to get my mph back up after adding the weight but thats aboht it.

So pistons, ez efi, wheels, tires, cage, and kirkey buckets will be ordered at the end of the month.

Im also contemplating adding more stall (3200 now) and possible a new valve body with a brake. Its a th400 but I want to take this thing down the highway, so I want to re gear so I use only 1st and 2nd in the 1/8th. Thoughts on this? Would be like 3.55's with a 28" tire. Would that hurt my track times too much?

I looked into the holley setups but seemed easier to do the fast 2.0 and build another engine for boost in a year or 3.

should make the truck more fun.

Yea, the Holley setup does so much, just not sure about the outcome of the full price of everything though.

Thats really what pushed me away. If I boost it its gettin a twin screw so I can hear it whine. If I go that far im gunna build a car not a truck lol

Maybe a dumb question, but are you doing the FAST EFI because you dont have any of the stock stuff such as injectors, intake, sensors, harness. Im doing another project right now and I have everthing with the motor with no cut wires. Im thinking about using the stock EFI instead of a carb this time since I got everything. I guess what im asking is, would it be cheaper to do the FAST or use the factory stuff I got. Im gonna have to do something about the modding the harness and the computer and I will have that expense whatever its gonna be.

Im not positive a intake with throttle body and intake tube will fit with my setup. My water pump pulley is less than a inch from my radiator fan.... I wanna go this way since I dont need to take it to get tuned. I have a harness, injectors, a maf, and a stock truck computer but they think I need a different computer. Ill need a ls3 style intake, and just hope I can get this combo tuned. If this engine combo doesnt work I can always change it and it will self fine tune for me. I live 3 hours from our closest tuner. Ive read good things with the ez efi 2.0 so I think ill give it a shot. Its more of a time vs money saved thing with this vs stock gm stuff.

A guy wants to take mt injectors and weiand intake off my hands and I think my carb is sold so that makes up some of the cost of the ez efi.

Ok. That makes since. Im about 3 hours from my tuner too. I guess im just gonna use all this stuff because I have a 4L80E transmission and the DBW throttle body. Im just wading into unfamiliar waters and trying to weigh all my options. Ive just seen that a PSI harness is $550 and I plan on a turbo and Id say the minimum on that tune will be $400

Are you planning on using the fast efi with the throttle body set up, then using the msd 6010 for spark? I had thought about using the fast efi, but din't want to source an intake, injectors, etc. Plus, i hate the look of the the LS efi intakes.

The FAST EZ-EFI 2.0 is a great unit, 8 Injectors built into the Throttle Body, and it will bolt in place of any 4150 style carb.

Thanks, Mike

Theres also a version of the EZ EFI that is multi-port. It allows you to use the factory intake, tb and injectors. It comes with the ECM and wiring, but no TB obviously. Part number 30404. Eric L

Thanks for the info. I was wondering how everything was gonna work. But I think this is the part number for the LS motors. 30405-KIT

This thing looks ****. Just wondering how to control the transmission now.

I think the end user has the option. You can buy the cheaper one and keep your 6010/6012, or sell the MSD and control everything with the FAST setup. I figure if I keep waiting, between Holley, Fast, and the others, they will make it so easy that by the time I do it................it will even install itself. LOL Eric L

I didnt notice that they offer one for the ls intake and injectors. I dont think stil the intake tube will fit between my radiator and the engine.... this is cheaper by $600 tho and thats nice. I woul have to sell my 6010 and intake to justify purchasing all that ls stuff. Do you need a maf sensor with the fast ls kit?

Ok. Ive talked to the guys at COMP. Does not have to have a MAF. Has to be the car injectors or the USCAR/EV6. May be able to use adapters, didn't ask. And it also will not work with a DBW throttle body. Im gonna get this kit from Mike at SK in the next day or two because he has a killer deal on it. But its gonna be a couple months before I can use it. Looks ****. Plus he has the tranny controller at what I think is a very reasonable price for the guys wanting to run the 4L60 or 80. It is **** also.
