86 mustang carb bogging and high idleing
I just got my mustang running. First day it was runing great a lil high idle and a. Lil cough hear then there. Last night I took it to the track and it was running bad. High idle and then it will drop and almost like the carb will load up. Ill clear it out and then it b fine for another couple of seconds.
When I staged up and hit the gass all it did was cough choke and was throwing black smoke
Driving home alround 2000 rpm it load up a bit and then it clear up by itself
Carb has been rebuild. No vac leaks.
Wires and tr55 plug r new.
Its a stock 5.3 out of a 03 avalanche,
Performer intake
6ls box

Hope that was it but probably was not the cam sensor. The cam sensor isn't needed once you get the car started. You can completely disconnect it and the car will have a 50-50 chance of starting up and running properly.
Maybe some junk just worked its way loose in the carb.
