Camshaft experts please step in, LS3+PT8847 Pat G cam
Looking to see if the current cam I have will be sufficient for my new setup? The cam is a Pat G spec'd cam he did for my my Nitrous LS3.
The specs are 231/239 .598 .610 113+3 HUC lobes.
The motor is a stock cube LS3 running 10:1 compression with 317 heads, ls6 intake and stock trunion upgraded rockers and a PT8847. Plan is to run 93 pump gas and meth. Will be running running around 15lbs. Looking to get an idea if this cam will work decent with what I have. I know a custom spec would be optimum but just looking for opinions right now. Thanks

That cam will work great since you swapped over to the 317's... that chamber shape and valve size can tolerate more overlap than an LS3 head can...
Its a pretty damn good match imo.... intake valve close is great. EVO is decent.... Overlap is a tad excessive but at 15 pounds you wont be pushing the limit of that turbine to even realize it....
Only adjustment i would make... is maybe stick it in the motor on a 108 or 109 intake centerline instead of a 110 if you wanted to go to the trouble to do it.... but it will work fine if you leave it dot to dot and have it in on a 110
