Default Which McLeod Hydraulic T/O kit for T56 stang

All,
I have gone through allot of threads and searched and it would seem that many different part #s are listed and some require the purchase of another bearing retainer.

Looking through McLeod's site, Iam thinking the "14-327" kit is the right one? Do I need to purchase any other pieces to make this work? Any idea why you cant use the existing the GM T/O bearing?
thanks
Sean

What year Stang? LOL

There is no need to use an aftermarket space instead of the GM one. All you need is a kit that will mount a MC to the firewall.

Its a fox body. I know if looks fairly straight forward to use a kit and weld parts to the clutch pedal, I do not like how close most of these to the brake booster. Regardless, I do not have a welder at this point in time so I feel this limits my options

Call America Powertrain and see if they will sell you this kit without the TOB:

Make sure the MC is 3/4" bore and has 1" of travel, so it works with the stock GM slave.

Has anyone bought the McLeod kit for this?

They say it will work for Cobra T56 but no mention of the GM T56.

Dude....why are you doubting me? The kit above is meant for the Ford T56, which used a "older" style bearing retainer. The GM T56 doesn't have that style bearing retainer and instead used the internal slave cylinder.

If you are going to swap a GM style into a Mustang you need to have the MC mounts that will work with the chassis, like the one I posted, but you need a way to hook it up to a GM style T56. This is why I said to call American Powertrain and see if they will sell you the MC mount and then you can just mate it to the GM style slave...

The McLeod kit will work too, but again, you do not need their slave, just the MC and the mount.

The Mcleod kit works great, call them and get the part number with out the bearing, the stock pressure line and gm bearing work perfectly with this kit. I have installed this setup on at least 10 mustang ls swaps. Altough I am not the biggest fan, they are a little tricky to bleed and finiky at times
