Well the V got backed into
Went to leave work last night and this welcomed me. Some douche decided it was ok to back into me and not leave a note or anything. Cracked headlight, broken fog lamp mounts, broken bumper cover and I havent looked real close at anything else. Security is reviewing the tapes for the night but they didnt know if the camera would be pointed that way when it happened or not. I dont have high hopes there.

One can only hope that karma will buttfuck that person with a horse dick and no lube. Hopefully you have good insurance that will cover uninsured motorists/hit and run kind of stuff.

that ******* sucks. I had someone do that at work. Was only a paint scrape. Left their name number address insurance carrier and policy number. Repainted front end including repainting my grills....

If they can't tell who did it on the security camera I probably wont turn it into insurance. I don't really need my insurance going up anymore, I'm already paying $2000 a year for cars and $400 a year for my two bikes.

If I have to be responsible for the money end, I can get a bumper cover from rockauto for $365, cts headlights and do hid conversion for $300 and get fogs for $120. Then the price of the paint supplies. Insurance isn't going to pay for GM stuff anyway. But we will wait and see if they can figure out who did it.

It usually won't be. My fiancée is an estimator at a collision repair shop. You can pay the difference to get an OEM piece. But she has to search used, reman, and aftermarket before she gets OEM. That's what insurances dictate.

From my experience in the auto body world, insurance companies will be more apt to go aftermarket for a Toyota, Kia, etc, not a Cadillac, Bmw, or anything that is on the nicer end, insurance company, miles, and condition will dictate this as well.
My V was keyed on Halloween a few years back and they paid for OEM headlights, each headlight was around $750-800 from the dealer, which absolutely sucks, but it is what it is, I say stick to your plan if it comes down to it!
Sorry to hear though, on the brighter side of things, new paint .
