Default S480 upgrades

I currently have a 408ci motor with Trick Flow 220 heads and a Pro-Flo intake, it was running a GT4202 with 1.15ar TW but it maxed out at only 14psi making 620rwhp though a T400,

Now I've for a S480 with 96mm 1.32ar TW and am aiming to run 18-20psi My goal is 850+rwhp

If the 80mm unit can not make these numbers or I get board and want more later on and I simply change out the 80mm comp wheel for a 88mm wheel ?

cheers

If you go with Forcedinductions.com billet wheel you won't max it out.

lol? its a 1200 horse turbo and your looking to upgrade? if you dont make an easy 1000whp with that 80mm you better burn your car to the ground.

That doesnt sound like the turbos problem to me. The 80mm is a 4 digit turbo. If you can't make 800 you might want to start blaming other things.

yeah dude you gotta look beyond the surface in those advertisements. plenty of 4 and 6 cyl cars making 1000 plus on Gt42s. with the turbo and boost your looking at in your first post you can hit your power goal on PUMP GAS.

back pressure was high with the 42 it only had a 87mm 1.15ar rear where the s480 has a 96 1.32

Im confident the S480 will net me 850+rwhp
The motor and fuel system is up to the job, running 2x 044s and 1800cc injectors
Biggest thing holding me back once the numbers get higher will be the 3.5" dump pipe,

If you are still having issues Forced Inductions also makes a direct swap exhaust housing to switch that 1.32 to a 1.58 for around $300. Sounds to me like on that large of an engine your problem possibly is more back pressure related than airflow related.

An 87mm 1.15 A/R is more than enough for your 800+ HP goals. It is getting a little sad the sheer number of 400+ cubic inch guys that come here complaining that their turbo is maxing out at 75% of its potential. I've seen V8s hit 900 HP on a Billet 7675.

Easy i used a "GCG Turbine Housing Outlet V-Band Flange S400SX4/GT4202 Detroit" then used a reduced coming out of it to 3.5"

The question is not that hard, ( Can i just change my comp wheel or not )

There are a few options from the cast 80 . You can get the race cover, 82mm, 84(or 83)mm and the 88 I believe is a upgrade aswell. I think that they were talking of coming out with a bigger AR housing than the 1.32.
