Default Clutch time again, what's the concensus?

My fidanza 7.5 bit the bullet. Last time I had my tranny out, it looked pretty good, but my slave cylinder leaked at my remote bleeder. It spit fluid all over the clutch and must have got toasted while on the dyno.
Anyway, Fidanza no longer offers parts for rebuild on the twin disc.
So now I'm back to picking out something new.
I need something that will hold up to my blower build so 800 hp+ or so would be nice.
Mcloud are a good price, but due to recent posts I don't think I'm interested. Same goes for the LS9x . Exedy looks nice, but damn that's pricey.
I was looking at Act clutches, but they seem to be out of stock on the twin discs in the range I was looking at.
Monster twin disc looks to be another contender, but don't know anybody with feed back.
Any thoughts, what you people running with well above stock builds?

LS9X FTW and don't look back. Longevity, stock feel, holds a ton of power.

I'm running it and love it as well as a few of my other high power Vette buddies.

Also, if you're going to look at Monster, look at their new LT1 dual clutch swap kit.

I have a Mantic single clutch in my stock V.
It drives so well, you wouldn't think it's aftermarket, zero chatter, zero issues.
I hear the high power vette guys rave about the twin disk Mantic clutch too.
RPS is worth a mention also.

I wouldn't let a few reviews turn you off to McLeod. Been many other good reviews. Fuzzy has been running his just fine. And I went to the RST as the RXT is for 1000 hp and very aggressive.

they work great, but don't support the power the OP is planning on putting through it.

The McLeod RXT is the best clutch I've owned. Strong (1000 HP), light (54% less inertia than a LS7 w/13 lb flywheel), and reliable.

The only downside is some floater rattle, but if you replace your transmission heat shield with the materials that Philistine and I did, you'll be the only person that can pick out the sound over the engine.

RXT for sure, I wouldnt bother with the RST especially in the heavyish V1. Make sure you install it correctly and you will love it.

I'll take $1200 and set it on fire before I buy another damn thing from McLeod. When they work, they work. When they don't, you get to go F yourself b/c they don't want to hear about it.

I agree!

Curious, how much power are you or your buddies tossing at the ls9x? Also what kind of driving?

LS9X or LS9R depending on power. I loved my LS9X from Katech.
