Drag Radial question C5Z
Whats up guys, I have a Drag Radial question. Basically im looking for the quickest drag radial for my C5Z. My car is a coilover suspension Built forged N/A LS7 making 600/575 through a RPM Stage VI 4L65 "Trans Brake/3200 stall" and a Built RPM 3.42 C6Z diff. The car is primarily a street car with the occasional trips to the track. Im torn between just leaving the 18's out back and going with a 305/35/18 ET Street or picking up another set of 17's for the back. If I go that route I am conflicted on tire heights and pros and cons. I love the look of a 27" "295/45/17" tire because if fill the wheel well nicely but I am afraid it will actually make my car slower then what its capable of with a shorter tire. I think that a "275/40/17" is too small which is in the range of 25.X"... Does anyone know the height of say a "305/35/17"? I know a 305/35/18 is 26"...
Any advice or info on the subject would be appreciated.

I understand that but Its not what im looking for... It may have a hard sidewall and soft tread compound but its not a DR. The height on the tire is to short. More comparable to a normal street tire in height...

I run mickey Thompson 305 35 18 drag radials on my car. On stock suspension and from 40 and on a concrete road they hook 735 rwtq. I had nittos before this and they were good to about 500 rwtq.

Yea I may just do this. I had the same tires on my other Z06 making mid 400whp and they were so so... Tires were probably just old though....

I have Hoosiers but they're small, 26". I've had 555Rs and god they suck. I'm hoping with the auto I can rip sub 1.55x sixties with the Hoosiers. If not I'll be going up to 28" on 17s.

im running 315/30/18 hoosiers. the car is a th400 5500 rpm stall. I can hook a low first gear roll on 10 psi boost without any burnout as long as its 55 degrees or better out.
