Default 2 wastegates and spring pressure

Took my car out today after adjusting my boost controller properly and Im running two 46mm precision wastegates. I had the red "6 psi" spring in it, and would only boost 3 psi with boost controller on the lowest setting. Turned the controller up to 70 and it went up to 10psi.. Is this normal? I just threw some 9 psi springs in it but it got wet out so couldnt test it yet.

"6psi springs" will likely 'crack open' slightly before 6psi. so I would say its normal. my 7psi springs in my twin 40 gates crack open at 5.5psi

You running an intercooler? If so is the WG reference before or after it?

Yes I'm running a inter cooler and right now my wastegates reference is right off the turbo housing. And obviously boost gauge and controller are off the manifold.

That could also be part of your issue if the intercooler is a restriction at all. Try referencing from the intake manifold

Yea it maybe, wouldn't expect that to be a issue at such low boost. The car already did 902whp at 15 psi that's why I didn't really think of the inter cooler back pressure.

Update, I put the 9lb springs in and it was about 7psi on lowest setting so I'm pretty happy with that.
