dumb valve cover question
I have a set of ls3 valve covers and coil brackets...did I read that the 2004 ls6 coils are a different bolt spacing than the 2010 up ls3s? will my coil bracket off the ls6 bolt to the valve covers though? I was going to buy holley valve covers like I did for my ls3 but I heard about the coils being a different bolt spacing.

GM valve covers with coils bracket mounted all have the same threaded stand-offs that the various brackets bolts to. This allows the different coils that GM used to not require different valve covers.
The Holley covers have threaded stand-offs that the coils bolt directly to, LS3 coils are required.
It's a disadvantage to have coils bolted directly to the covers. Doing work such as exhaust bolts or spark plugs is way easier when you remove the coils as one unit.
