Default Casper 3-5 wire MAF wire harness

I have a 99 TA Heads, Cam, bolt-ons with a stock MAF and SLP air lid with AIT already drilled into in the lid. Before the final dyno tune, I want to install a de-screened SLP MAF and keep the AIT in the lid to prevent heat soak. Do I need the Casper 105591 3 to 5 wire - no pigtail? Or, the Casper 108100 3 to 5 with pigtail? I read several threads and I am a little confused. It is almost counter intuitive. I am guessing if I want to retain the AIT in the SLP lid and not use the built-in AIT in the SLP MAF, I need the 105591 (no pigtail). Correct?

To answer your question, you want the 3 wire to 5 wire adapter harness without IAT so you can use stock IAT harness and sensor. Search ebay for "5 WIRE MAF TO LS1 3 WIRE HARNESS ADAPTER".

I will add that if you are going to do this prior to a tune anyway, get the GM MAF and not the SLP.

That's what I did. I kept my IAT sensor in the lid but I cant for the life of me remember the part number for the adapters. I'm trying to go back through my ebay history and find it though. Will report back once I do.

Has anyone already bought this? The adapter which came with my TSP 100mm MAF years ago had a pair of wires reversed. I'm troubleshooting a MAF problem and was considering replacing the adapter, but I'd rather the wiring be correct when received.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but is there a reason to keep the IAT sensor in the lid vs using the one in the MAF?

According to the OP it's to prevent "heat soak." Not that I don't understand his concern but it's the first time I have heard that term associated with the IAT.

The maf housing is metal and closer to the engine than the plastic lid. Not sure how much of an issue it really is, but I could see the internal MAF giving higher IAT than a lid mounted IAT.

Will this harness work with a truck/Z06 LS6 maf or only for LS2 maf? Or is it all the same
