Default Me vs Modded CBR 1000RR

Sorry that I took this video down...it's back up now.

First and foremost, I apologize for the horrible cell phone video! Cars mods are in my sig. CBR had exhaust, power commander, suspension, and some other minor things that I can't remember. I believe it was 2 years old. Runs were from 60-150...5-6 cars.

Damn... Worked him over real good..

Starting in 3rd gear?

That's probably about a 142 mph trap bike you just yanked on the top end.

Thanks bro! BTW, I am Y2KRoadster over on the Corvette Forum.

Yeah third for me. I have 3.73 gears with a 28" tall tire so that MPH is pretty good. Bike hung in third...but shortly after the shift into 4th, it got ugly for him.

Nice seems like you've got it going pretty good. I don't play with bikes anymore last one I messed with tried to kill himself so I refuse to play with them anymore lol.

Thanks! I might mill the heads for a bit more compression during the cold months...but other than that, it's running good! How's your ride?

Good man my winter project involves heads also. See if I can go over 1k maybe try and make 2k next year. What exhaust is on your car?

Oh sweet. Yeah I need to mill and perhaps get a bigger cam...lift is only at .572/578...

I have ARH 2 inch headers, 3 inch half/x-pipes and Borla Stingers.

I use to have stingers when I was in the 6xxhp and they sounded great. Almost wish I hadn't sold them. Then again it is nice being able to hear my music at highway speed also... I have my TI's back on the car. They're quiet for the most part until you hit it and them they sound dirty at wot

Yeah the stingers are definitely loud...I'm not a fan of the drone either lol.

I would love to put a stock C5 exhaust on the car...then it would be nice and quiet...and more of a sleeper...well kinda...

The other day I thought I was dreaming when I saw this video and could not find it again. Great run. Fast car for sure. Any track times on this setup?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, the car has not been to the track. I want to get a DTE trans brace before that happens.

3.73 rear, MN12 trans ratio, and with 28 inches tall tires, aint 60mph on 3rd a lil low 3700rpm?

Haha yeah it's still not quiet. The YSi and Tial Q take any type of being stealth right out the window.

I remember my first recording device.

Side note, car pulls not bad if that was a 1000(beat those when I made like 11psi fyi) but, seems kinda lax for a 20+psi 3.73 geared "sub 3000lb" C5...

Yeah no kidding on the cell phone camera.

All 1000's are not created equal...like previously stated...this bike probably gets low 140's at the track and that's it.

There is a lot of power left on the table with my car. My compression ratio is a low 9.18:1...I wanted 9.5-9.7:1. I'll probably pull the heads off this winter and have them milled down a bit. The current cc is 71.8 and 71.9. The cam also doesn't have the lift I wanted...this was my fault for not waiting for a better cam. It's a 230/236 (which isn't bad) but the lift is only 572/578...really needs to be in the higher 590's. Sooo...that might get addressed as well. All in all, I'm probably leaving 100whp on the table. Tuning is still a small issue...it's safe right now at 10.5A/F on 15 degrees of timing. We are going to add more timing with a trip to the dyno, but I have been too busy prepping for a deployment...probably have to wait until I get back.

All in all, as it sits, a couple degrees more timing and a tad leaned out should give it some decent power. The 2 inch headers will open up some stuff with the timing as well...it picked up a ton of mid range torque.

BTW car weighs 3200 with me in it
