Default Busted drive shaft much???

The stock s10 drive shaft cannot fade the 4.8 liter of doom with a t56. Lol

So, my daily driver is down till I get the funds for a one piece drive shaft.

So that was the daily driver?

What are you driving now to work?

Aren't driveshafts like 300 bucks for those. Even a custom one... 600 bucks or so?

Just go buy one.

250$ for a new one, going to see if I can find a long enough one piece and have it cut.

It is my daily, driving my 04 3/4 ton as well as the 86 TA.

Look for a diesel or a 2500 driveshaft. I've got one of those before and had it cut down. Some are aluminum and they are 3-3.5in.

Next time you intentionally break something, stick a gopro under the truck

I've got a few fbody driveshafts also if they will fit. Aluminum and a steel one.

Let me measure and see, I probably have a spare F car steel DS. But I also have the explorer aluminum DS that the flange for the 8.8 came off of. If not I'll find a extra long steel piece and cut it down. Cheaper the better, I pick up my circle D converter today for the mustang and still need a few parts to get it back in *** whoopin mode. Got a list of folks that want a piece of that car, lol.

Call up muscle motorparts (the nascar parts place) and they will send you one for cheap (my last one was $100 + shipping). It comes with a 32 spline 1350 400 yoke, just get a conversion u joint and put your stock yoke on it.

North Houston Drivetrain on 610 has built them for me for $200 cash in the past. You supply the front yoke and measurement and they do the rest. I have one in my t/a and used one in my s10 a few years back.

Yea, that's about 50$ cheaper than diamon automotive but they have never done me wrong. Plus they are right down the road.

Gotta take my measurement and find a DS long enough to chop down still.

Holy crap, I have broken one in a mustang (86 GT) ring about that fast, I though it was going to be the end. Was a lot of noise. The H pipe kept it from hitting the ground.

I did see a ding dong neutral drop a 4th gen TA in a parking lot and cause his factory aluminum DS to break. Was pretty funny.

Oh, my ******* puckered up, I pulled off to the shoulder, phoned someone to get me, and left the truck there, NTTA dopped my shaft off at my driver door the next day. I bought a new GM with new yoke and joints for $470 after taxes. I probably could have had one made for cheaper, but didn't want to deal with all the BS.

Sad part is it one be used very long since I am running a 2pc soon.

I'm still trying to figure out if I should repair the busted short side or make a 1 piece. Don't know if I can find a 1 piece to cut down that is made of steel. The 2 piece is factory for carrying loads.

see, the opposite is better for the fulls size guys. The 2pc is a better design, and usually stronger for the most part. I hear more people breaking the 1pc over the 2pc.

Since I'm bagging my truck, a 2pc shaft has a smaller diameter, and is a better option for laying frame as well.

Have you called Stan Hopkins in Dallas? There is a guy in Mckinney too that a neighbor used for his 600hp Charger.
