Default LS6 Intake Upgrade

I recently picked up a LS6 intake and plan on swapping out the stock LS1 intake on my 98 Z28. I recently removed and tuned out the AIR/EGR so I am ready.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks on doing the swap and what to watch out for? I do plan on picking up a replacement set of intake gaskets just to be on the safe side but is there any other tools or parts I should also pick up in case I need it? If anyone can point me to videos/tutorials that would be much appreciated as well. Thanks guys.

Oil pressure sending unit in case you break your OEM one when you are trying to get the intake off.

If reusing the coolant x, b sure to cut the webbings on bottom of ls6 for clearance... i just went ahead n cut all of them. It was a pain, but takes the guess work out of what webs to all cut.

I'm a proponent of doing the '04 LS6 valley cover at the same time. Adds another $100 to the project, but removes all the external PCV junk.

Definitely not the AIR system. EGR would need removed unless you plan on tapping the intake for the EGR tube.
