Great 60s I'm in the points with ya and had no idea u had the mighty LT1 under the hood. I'm running the white 80 Z28. I have missed six of the races this year but will be there on Sunday. Would love to check out the car.

Hi George. I've missed 5 or 6 points races this year too. I hope to make the race this Sunday.
See ya there!
Did you race a white 80's Impala a couple of years ago?

I did. The LT1 that was in white caprice is now in the Z, less the LE heads, I bought AI heads and cam after I rebuilt the bottom end. I'm still kinda babying the motor (just 300 miles on the rebuild) but leaving at 1800 and shifting at 4600 has pulled the Z to a best of 12.13. I'm hoping with the Pro Systems carb back on, leaving at 2400 and shifting at 6200 it should run a low 11

Did you mis yesterday? Going up Sat for Chevy vs Ford day? I looked for you yesterday to ask you what shift points are you using? I put the Holley back on and shifted a bit higher but only ran a 12.06 @ 113 I think my Trans has lazy shifts. Seems way too long from me moving that Quicksiler shifter and the shift happening.

I'm going to try to make it Saturday, but the long range forecast didn't look good, 80% chance of rain.
I'm still short shifting mine a bit I think. Shifting @ 5800 rpm and hitting the rev limiter set at 6100 well before the finish line. I'm trying to save my factory stock short block and I don't want to run below 11.50, because then I'll need a roll bar.
With what I know about your setup, I think you should be shifting well above me for max performance.
If I don't make it Saturday, I'm gonna try to make a test and tune and call it done for the year.
If I don't see you, best of luck the rest of the way and see you next year.
Steve
