Anyone know the price point? I feel like the new Z06 will smoke it! Not sure about either price tag though....

I don't think it would lay waste to the Z06, it's to heavy for that. But it's not in that class of car. It's a Z28,ZL1 Shelby type of car. It can be had with an 8 speed auto.
With a converter and a set of slicks this thing could be a 10sec car.

I thought GM was slow to respond with stuff, but I think Dodge takes the cake with all of this.

Looks better then your run of the mill Challenger but can't say I am overly excited about it. For some reason I have the feeling this thing is pushed to what a pulley downed GT500 or ZL1 is at.

You might be right. You have to give them credit for super charging there largest V8 instead of the smaller motor. Time will tell.

I was in Detroit a few weeks ago and I ran into a Chrysler engineer. He was talking this thing up like you wouldn't believe. Saying its going to destroy everything GM and Ford have out. He also thinks his SRT8 Charger could beat my car and that the Hellcat would "leave me in the dust". What set all of this off was i said exactly what you guys are, they are SO late to the game. Cool car, but such a heavy pig. Just reminds me of the zl1 situation in that they put a great drivetrain in a tank.

I'd be shocked if it was less than $60k and 4500lbs.

Loaded up they're right around 4400#, rumored between $60 and $65k.

If it won't go 10's with a converter and slicks something is very wrong with this world.

Does anybody know what they're using for a blower on them?

I agree with a few other tweaks.

My buddy and I have been researching this car for the last month or so. All of the features and amenities that are in it are insane. He plans on getting one when he gets back from Afghanistan next March.

I will say this...

The last few years have been amazing in the "American" car industry, the HP wars are in full song, and its fun. The Hatred between the big 3 is growing again, lmao and we all have **** talking on our minds.

Chevy
Ford
Chrysler

Who is gonna go 800hp? 900hp? will we see 1000hp?????

LOL.

Point is, kick ***!

I honestly love the car and with that much power it better be beating GM and Ford. It would be more badass if they could have at least built it around 3800-3900lbs... Over 4K is insane for a muscle car.

Its a 2.4L Lysholm unit.

Rumor is the car went 10.90s in testing, but no specifics on what tire, how stock it was, etc.
