eBay 92mm throttle body
I got a good deal on a used fast 90 intake and I decided to try out a 92mm throttle body from eBay since they're a quarter of the price of a NW tb. I put it on and noticed it didn't open all the way but I figured that was kind of normal but I put a data logger on it and the throttle only opens 63%. There is 2 spots on the tb for the cable to go into. Should I try the other one? The cable is adjusted tight, if I adjust it any tighter it idles higher. Fit and finish on the tb is very nice considering the price. Didn't know if anybody ran into this or had any other ideas.
Sorry if there's a video double post or if neither of them work. It's basically just me flooring it while the cars off and the tps showing 63%

First do a TPS relearn, unplug the tps sensor turn the car to the on postion (don't actually crank). Wait about 10 to 20 seconds then turn key to off, plug TPS connector back in and then see if it registers as opening 100% when you put the throttle down.

What do you mean by"the blade wont open straight"? Have someone verify that when you put the pedal to the floor that the actual tb blade either does or does not open all the way. Lets get the tps reading out of the equation for now and concentrate onv the actual tb blade movement.

Well I was just out messing with it and if I hold it to the floor and have a buddy turn it the rest of the way wide open it stays wide open. I know the spring on the tb is really tough, harder than any other tb I've seen.

Another update. I pulled the cover off the throttle box where all the cables go in and after I open it I can turn the cam around and open the throttle up the rest of the way. Is it possible my cable is stretched. I also noticed that I can lift my pedal and the cable doesn't pull the throttle all the way back up. Anybody have any idea on this one? Throttle cable stretched? .
