Default Strange 12 Bolt Differential options

Currently i have a Strange 12 Bolt with 33 spline axles, spool and 4.30 gears. I'm wanting to make the car streetable. What differentials will work with my setup? Can I swap to a different spline axle for more options? I was thinking about a TrueTrac differential but can't find any information that confirms this one will work.

They said the only thing they have is for a 3 series differentials and said i would have to change the gear down to a 3.73. Don't want to go below 4.11 on the gears.

430 is gonna be 4 series. You match your gears with your carrier due to thickness. I'm running a 373 with a 3 series trutrac. It is very street able and has held up to a ton of abuse. Check this out: https://ls1tech.com/forums/gears-axl...t-install.html

Thanks for the link to your write up it was helpful. I fell more confident that the Truetrac will work. I read that the differential only used axles that had a 45 degree bevel cut on the ends I couldn't find anything that would say they will fit or not.

I read that too. No issue with Strange axles.

I've been talking with Strange, Carl, Bob, and Eric @MWC. Strange says their 33 spline axles 'fit sloppy.' But people have bought the parts and put them together with no reported problems.
Then Strange said that their 30 splines fit the Truetrac, but the axles are not long enough (I have a 3rd Gen).
It appears that only Moser makes axles that fit (according to manufacturers) a 12 bolt Truetrac.
I called DTS. They will build one with their center housing (slightly different than Moser's) and Moser axles.
So, I couldn't get away from Moser axles.

After scouring the internet, reading comments from "Chicane", I decided he knew what he was talking about. Almost all the complaints here come from Moser or Strange - 25-30% from both sources for various reasons (whine, leaks, etc.). He states that Who & How the rear assembly is set-up is everything.
I'm an original owner of a '89 Firebird Formula - just had my 25th anniversary. That means my investment philosophy is different from most.

I took Chicane's advice and ordered a 12 bolt Truetrac from Mark Williams this week.
