Default Street car takeover - roll race

Me vs a Boss 302. I trapped 125.9 and he trapped 112.3.

I figured is post USA video and not a video from Mexico. Lol enjoy!

lmao that's awesome! I think more tracks need to do this certain nights. Just something different and fun.

Good run tho, both cars sounded great.

Where can I do this? That's an awesome track to just go car vs car rather than driver vs driver for a change

They do it in Houston at Royal Purple Raceway / Houston Raceway Park, it's more popular at the air strip venues.

It was a pretty awesome event although I got there late like around 9:30. Some fast cars out there like that GTO that trapped 140+ and those GTRs. Whats the starting roll speed before going all out btw?

Thats pretty pimp... but those traps are kinda useless if you get em from a roll, IMO.
Either way, good run and good kill.

I told everyone about 4 years ago we did this at the local track i worked at, everyone was like, roll race at a track??? It was our best night, drivers pick, dig, roll. hit, move, lengths etc. It is a blast!! Nice kill OP

My track just started it last year. They had like 4 or 5 events this year. They do it no trailers aloud and no prep, dot tires, car must be tagged /ins. Pretty cool cause they don't give me **** for not having a cage on those days......but they don't want you running 9's either.

good run

That's pretty sweet, love the no trailers idea. are dot slicks allowed like et street bias ply's or is it drag radials/street tires only?

I'm sure if you can legally drive it to the track you can "run what you brung".

I think the intent is a as driven street car......hence the no trailers. Most don't drive on a dot slick. I didn't look at other's tires but they probably let them roll on any dot tire because people would bitch about their bias dot slick being a street tire.

I went to the event last weekend and I was kind of bored with the roll race thing. I mean it was cool for about 45min but after that i lost interest. I'm not a die hard anything either.

Btw there where a few cars running non DOT slicks that "competed"

There where A LOT of vipers at all the events. I must say that I wasn't very impressed with any of them. I thought for sure the nitrous outlet viper was going to get give that GTR a run for its money but no such thing happened.
