HELP. WS6 4l60e leaks fluid from vent tube

Default HELP. WS6 4l60e leaks fluid from vent tube

So I have transmission fluid leaking from here (my trans vent tube) ....I just added a bottle and it leaked straight out at idle....how to I fix this? Or what is the cause?

What is the level of the ATF in the trans according to the dip stick.
If it really is leaking out of the vent tube (you are sure?) the trans is either overfilled or overheated. I had it happen when one of my "hydraulic mod experiments" caused the TCC to drag and burn up.

Yes I got under the car and had the car on idle after pouring a bottle of fluid in and it poured out

Because I was getting delayed and weird shifts and I checked the fluid and it was low.

There have been some other posts here on this topic, most likely from heat, and the fix may require some extra vertical tubing to help prevent this. Obviously you do not want trans fluid dripping anywhere near headers due to fire risk!
