proper u-joint for this setup
hey guys, been a long while since I've posted here. but heres my deal. 2002 z28 m6. i have a custom built rear end housing from a guy named josh townsend it seems like its going to be solid as hell. its a ford 8.8 thats adapted to use our torque arm mount and uses the factory axle tubes.
my question is once i set it up i can get an 8.8 yolk from summit. they are built for a 1350 u-joint. will a factory style u-joint bolt up to a 1350 yolk?
thanks,
aj

hes right.. its a pretty common joint combo. 1350 to saginaw 44 which is what the stock ds is. better measure though and make sure the factory driveshaft will work for you though.

Keep in mind the factory drive shaft is very weak. When they break they usually flail around under there and take out the exhaust too. When mine broke it put holes in the floor. Bob

Thanks to everyone and their input. I've got a driveshaft safety loop so if she breaks it should catch her. I'm also just bolt ons right now. Build is starting probably next month. Then I'll go with a new prop shaft
