G5 cam???.....
how would i sound w/ the following mods: lid, FTRA, macs/ ORP (open w/ no catback), vig 3600, S2 TB??? im looking to get close to 400rw w/out touching the heads..... how close can i get w/ the right tuning?

unlocked id say 360-370 and locked id say 380-390..... but thats just a guess.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I assume that you're talking about the G5X2?? Or the older G5??
In any event, I was up at LGM today and saw an automatic car w/ a stock converter (as far as I could tell; it deffinitely wasn't a big 'un), lid, Grotts w/ cats (and the $h!++y Y-pipe that the Grotts come with), and a factory cat-back (open cutout right before the muffler) with the G5X2 that put down a shade over 400 RWHP.
No ported TB, factory pulley, no LS6 intake, stock LS1 MAF, factory LS1 heads, blah, blah, blah...
What is going to make your goal somewhat difficult to achieve is that converter. However, I would think that if the car I just mentioned (being as stock as it is) can put down a little over 400, a car with a few more bolt-ons and open headers ought to be able to come damn close to that, even through a loose converter.

its the old G5........ and ive got the following mods: lid, macs w/ ORP (no catback), S2 TB, FTRA, vig 3600, and 3.42's on the stock 10 bolt..... id be happy w/ 385! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Sounds like the car I was talking about. I finished up the cold/warm starting and idle today, hope you enjoy.

Court- You bet its done! Awaiting some final touch ups, a good nut and bolt ( Race car term for combing the car with every wrench and making sure everything is tight <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> ) and a clean job. Its one of the best so far! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> You need a pully and a ported TB.
