To keep thanking all of our wonderful members and sponsors of this site, we have come up with a way to help pay some lucky individuals back! The rules are simple:
1. All registered members are eligible, except Administrators. Yes, staff members and sponsors are eligible too.
2. For the month of May, answering the following:
Would you like there to be a 5th Gen F-Body? Would you plan to buy one or check one out if GM announced a future one, say released in 2005?
3. Winner will be randomly drawn from all the replies in this thread for this month. Winning number is randomly generated using a mathematical software program.
4. All entries can be submitted up thru the last day of the month. Winner will be drawn on first day of the following month. Winner's member name will be posted here at the end of the contest, and they must respond via email within 10 calendar days or we will redraw a new winner.
Winner will receive:
Registered Member of 3 months or longer = $100.00 gift certificate to LS1TECH Sponsor of winner's choice.
-OR-
Registered Member of less than 3 months = $50.00 gift certificate to LS1TECH Sponsor of winner's choice.
Okay, the rules are simple, no further discussion about them required! Start giving us some feedback and possibly earn some mod money!

Hell Ya, who wouldn't want Chevy to reintroduce a 5th generation Camaro?
I think it would be a move in the right direction, and I would consider purchasing one once I had the chance to test drive one.

I would consider buying a 5th gen only if I liked the looks of it, and I would probably buy a camaro instead of a bird. It would also have to be powered by a V8, not some "high performance" V6.

I would also check out a 5th gen. camaro. Like almost everyone says, it would have to look good, have rear wheel drive and a powerful V-8. A nice price wouldnt hurt either. I also think it would be cool to offer some kind of f-body discount too. Meaning if you already have an f-body they would hook you up with a good deal.

I would check it out, but not sure if I would buy it. My loyalty is gone with the F-body. Not the same if they bring it back after several years.
They could get me back by doing an awesome motor like the 03 cobra. They still need to keep with the nature of the F-body as well. Not like they did with the GTO. Shoty job by GM.
Just my .02

I would if:
* More power (what would be the point of giving up mine)
* Better handling/ride (I would still take the solid rear and sacrifice some over IRS),
* Better ergonomics and quality interior,
*Clean muscle car look (The reason I cannot convince myself to buy a GTO). Not that I dislike the GTO, just not for me.
* Must still have T-top and Convertible options.
* Pricing needs to be in-line with the Mustangs or below.
I don't care which division of GM builds one, just build it already.

That depends, if their gonna make it a V6 FWD pansy-mobile then no. If they do it right, meaning RWD and at least 350 HP then yes. I don't really want a retro car. If there are some styling cues from older models fine but don't make a new 1969 Camaro. I would at least check one out then.

I've liked the retro 5th gen renditions I've seen and would like to buy one. However, I will be in the market for a Z06 to park next to my 2000 Z28 before I buy another f-body.

No, because I have no faith in GM keeping a possible 5th gen Fbody V8, rear wheel drive, and sporty looking. I absolutely hate the GTO, and am afraid what they would do with a "new" Fbody. That being said, a 400+hp 6 speed Camaro like some of the renderings I've seen would be cool, anything FWD, V6, 4 cam junk, etc, no thanks.

Sure I would like to see a 5th Gen F-Body...and I would check them out, but I dont know if I woud buy one. It really depends on the looks and performance. If GM did to the Camaro what Ford did to the Mustang, then I would say no, I wouldnt buy one.
I am very happy with my 4th Gen
