Removing Knock Sensors - How to
I read in an archived thread that the knock sensors thread into the block. I've got everything off and removed the screws for the plate but the plate lifts but feels like something is holding down, it'll come up a 1/2 inch or so and thats it.
How do I remove that plate and the sensors themselves?

I used a 22mm socket to unscrew my 2 knock sensors, then you can unbolt the valley cover plate and it will lift right off. You have to remove the 2 knock sensor or the plate won't come off...

The rubber covers pop up. To disconnect the connectors you simply squeeze them in and pull up to remove. Then you can pull the sensor out.

I had a hard time popping off the connectors. Must of been doing something wrong. I reused them and engine seems to run fine.
Havent autotapped it to make sure.
