Default Slight new best

I took a couple passes at a local 1/8th mile track to TNT my new 3-washer transgo shift kit and 28" slicks.

I ran the car in "lazy" trim (through exhaust, no EWP/shortbelt, about 50# heavier than "race" trim), since no one including myself cares about 1/8th mile times.

Anyway I was surprised to run 7.17@94.57, 1.58 60' time. My 1/8th mile on my best 11.34 run was 7.26@93.5 1.59 60'. It seems the lighter rims and transgo kit is paying off some. My 1-2 shift is now 350rpm late (6800), and my 2-3 shift 600rpm late (7100). Not perfect, but much better than before the transgo when both shifts were about 900rpm late (and tagging my 7200rpm rev limiter!).

I usually pick up .12th going in to "race" trim, so maybe an 11.1 will be possible next weekend at bfield?

It was busy, I only got 2 passes. I was too lazy to go in to "race" trim.

Nice run.

I'm hoping to get my Meziere in before Bfield and the P/A K-member. Neither of which have showed up yet. I'm hoping for decent weather....cooler than 80deg., but I don't know if that will happen. Any update on Derek's car? I know he's probably pulling his hair out by now trying to get Mike to help him. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Derek told me today yesterday that he is nearing completion on his car.
If he enters class 2, we are all done.
I tried to tell him that his wife's car would be a better choice to run out there, but he kept referring to his mission statement of 9's or bust.
I know he's going to use N2O for that, but if he decides to run both C2 and C3 our only hope will be if he breaks.

we'll find some rule that eliminates him from C2. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Good job man, you are getting the car moving pretty good <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
How was your rpms with the 4.10's with the 28 inch tire?
Cheers,
Chris

Fine, with the TP4400 my rpms never go below 5700rpm. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Cool same as mine, did you use lockup (For 1/4 runs) what are your times/mph unlocked compared to locked?
Thanks,
Chris

I've only tried lockup on this converter once, I picked up ~1mph (121) but gained no ET.
