I know I'm a lot lighter for some reason but we've both removed the same things (except I have AC). Anyway one of my goals was to run quicker than you and Tony NA on my stock shortblock. I'll probably need the 388 to run with Tony's new setup but if I can hold this 346ci motor together for a few more passes I might get in the 10s afterall.

Once you both race on the same track on the same day only then can you compare your times to another car though.

Yeah but thats never going to happen so for now its fun to compare on the internet. It's not like southern California has better tracks or anything.

You can have my old ET record. I'm done with 11s
Your goal was our ETs? I feel honored. You really should go after Raughammer's ET though, your cars are more alike.

Terry,
If you look in the back of some trashy magazine you can probably find a nice quality ***** pump. From what my health teacher in highschool told us, they will make your ***** a bit thicker but at the risk of long term tissue damage. Maybe that would help you out a bit? It must be rough to go through life with a tiny wee-wee, then again I guess posts like this make you feel a little better about yourself?

You guys take things too personal. You know Terry, why get worked up over it? Why not participate and hit him where it hurts...
1/8 times isn't the yardstick. And there's no glory in 2nd place.
Nineball:
Terry's car is far from gutted and is no lightweight like Raugh's. His weight is much closer to yours at 34XX. It will be interesting to see how he runs with the MMS big bore, but I'll bet he'll hit 10's. So you're both alike, you're using a big motor to reach your goals. Kinda sucks being compared to Terry huh?

Re: I'm almost quicker than a 421ci iron block motor!!!
Jantzer, Terry dropped some more weight off the car. Didn't he pull the bumpers and stuff? You gotta admit that his car is closer to raughammer's in setups. Both heads/cam A4 cars with converters, both with some weight removed (mine is 3550-3600 lbs).
When (not if) I grenade the T56, you can count on a trans-braked TH350 being installed. Then I'll do some weight reduction and we'll see if Terry wants to keep spending money to catch my ET haha. Solid roller cam is the next logical upgrade
He and Raugh are alot alike, but try to go fast on a budget, and both know how to set up an A4 car.

Re: I'm almost quicker than a 421ci iron block motor!!!
Yes he's probably in the low 34XX range, but we both know Raugh is no more than 3200. You're probably right their setups are more similar.
I can't figure out why you're not running a solid roller to begin with? Good luck with the new combo though.
Hopefully I'll get dialed in and get into the 10's before you. Then once your motor's in, I'll have my work cut out for me to catch ya. My goal of 10.50's NA Stock Shortblock probably won't cut it. I'll probably go Tbraked as well if this stock 4L60E ever blows.

I come in at 3400# or so right now. I'm just trying to liven this board up.
John, no reason to take offence. You call whenever I know something you need to know.

Speaking of 1st and 2nd place, did you ever get a check from that North v South event? I'm still waiting for my $14.

Re: I'm almost quicker than a 421ci iron block motor!!!
I didn't get a check yet. $14 ROTFLMAO! It's pretty damn bad when you win the class, it costs you $60 to enter, and you take home $51. And then a guy at our shop knocked over the trophy and broke the glass on the desk, but the trophy didn't even mark. I was amazed.
I'm curious what you're going to do for heads. And when do you expect everything to be together? And don't worry, I won't even start working on my heads for atleast a month. And I'll take a good 2-3 weeks of port/flow before I get them the way I like. I can't imagine what difference they'll make, I'm probably going to be up 20-30cfm across the board.

When I first read this thread I was in a pretty bad mood. All I see is a juvenile comment. Your brand of humor is calculated to put down other folks and it's a restrictive and predictable sense of humor... IE. you're gay.
I don't care if you beat me with a stock longblock, with the right weight reduction it's doable... YAWN
