Which exhaust to get?
Hey everyone, i have 1998 Z28 camaro. The only mod i have done to it right now that I can really tell the difference is a cut-out. I am kind of getting tired of the sound and always worrying about getting a ticket from the police and finding a place that will pass me for inspection. I was wondering what you guys think is the best cat-back exhaust system for the money. I don't care about hp gains, I just want a mean sounding exhuast (probably not corsa or borla b/c they are crazy expensive). This also might be a stupid question but are there any exhuast systems that include cats? I think mine have finally bit the dust. Thanks for any help or opinions given!

Depends on how much you wanna spend but many agree that the GMMG chambered is the best sounding cat-back you can get! I love it and so does almost everyone else who hears my car!

Save some money and get a drop in aluminum magnaflow. You can reuse your tips if you want and save even more money. Find a good welder/muffler shop 'cause the 1 inlet 2 outlet setups are a little difficult.

If you don't care about performance, just get the cheapest one you can find. Loudmouth is very cheap. It is about the best for power too (short of True duals). If you like that loud sound like your cutout has, but not quite as loud, it will help you there too.
Also, take a look at the sticky in the external engine section.

MagnaFlow
Just got my MagnaFlow installed this past week & seat of the pants feel and mellow sound; has me very happy with the work [& money] i put into it...
Performance & Sound were both improved.. I added SLP lid & K&N air filter at the same time... Very happy with mine; but as others attest most good catbacks [magnaflow , hooker & others] you'll probably be happy with over the stock system!!!!
As a help to others!!! I ended up having to cut the over-the-axle pipe twice, cause we didn't cut far enough back & up , the 1st time... Thank Goodness for reciprocating saws !!! Installation was a breeze, except my twisting off one of the clamps & having to run to the zone for a new one...
