Which ET streets would work better with 16x8 SS rims?
26x10.5x16 or the 26x11.5x16? I have a set of 16" SS rims that I want to get some et streets on. I take it the 11.5's will hook better since they are wider? will they go on just as easy and not set any abs codes? I currently have the 25x10.5's. Also when braking hard from a 1/4 run while on et streets does the car shake funny when braking?

16x8's... The 26x10.5x16 ET Street would be the best fit on the rim.
A 26x11.5x16 ET Street will fit it will be wider and taller and cut down the gear a bit...
Hard call, you need as much tire as you can get.
I ran 26x11.5x16 ET Streets with 16x9 XP Draglites...
Maybe you can get the rims widened.

I have a friend at the track that runs a 16 by 8 inch wide tire on a stock wheel and it works pretty well---just to give you some information. The car has many mods but no H/C job. His times from 12.10 (Right Weather) to 12.50. The tire is MT slick. Hopes this helps.

I have an A4 with 3.73's and way(seriously) too many mods to list. I like these SS rims so I will stick with them. so going to the wider tire will bring down the gear? I wish there were some better looking rims out there. I wouldn't mind something that not to many people already have.

Dolt!, I didn't even look at your user name...
The wider tire will kill your gear some but it will hook better.
