Default Need Help w/ lid!

I'm installing a tsp induction lid, and I have it all on. However, when I was taking the stock lid off, i had to pull a black hose out of it. The instructions that came w/ the lid say to "insert a breather into the hose." What is a breather? Where can I get one? Is it necessary? Thanks!

Hmm, not sure but it seems that you should have received one with your lid. If not goto your local speedshop and pick up a KN breather filter. This breather filter has a male end that inserts into the hose and a clamp (plastic) to hold it.

Hope that helps

Go to Autozone and pick one up in the "import" section, that's what I did.

Its the little silver cone attached to the hose.

Yes, it is just for filtering air that enters the AIR pump.

I added a pic to my post above so you can see what it looks like. I have the TSP lid too.

if you ordered a lid that has the hose plug into it, thus negating the need for a breather...but you still think it looks like *** and want the breather...what do you use to plug in the whole in the lid?

There is no hole to plug...that's why he needs the breather filter.

I'm going to leave the cheap breather on there for now. I'm getting headers installed next week, so I'm going to have them rip out the air and egr systems anyway

Then don't even bother at all with the breather.

Rip it all out, looks ugly

Be sure to buy block off plates. I started mine up when I had my AIR assembly off without block off plates, it sounds funny/nasty/annoying all at once. They are like 8 bucks at LS1speed
