Yeah, it was kinda tough to decide on wire lengths for the coil packs. Suggestions on how long they should be?? I get them pre-cut, so i'll have to wait till next wire order. But what would you suggest??

Had one on for testing this weekend, even at 2500 on RSA's release the clutch and instant tire smoke on the line <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> IndyZ28 was nice enough to let me mess w/ his car <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

couple thoughts:

figure out the pinout for 98s so they can tap into the PCM for clutch release. It'd be nice for them 98 guys to just plug and play like you described in your directions)

I'm guessing 6 inches more would've been adequate...was just a hair too short. Maybe also move the tape holding the wires together (next to the connectors) a little further away as it was kinda tough to get the connectors in a position to insert into the coil pack and the wire harness. Other than that no problems <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I tried 3000 with GSCs with no luck (but then again the massive 4.71 gears don't help much either <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" /> )

The 98's don't have a PCM clutch connection. There is a switch on the clutch for the cruise control kickout. I've gotta dig up my 98 manuals and find the wire. But unfortunately it's not as easy for the 98's.

I've still verifing a direct connection for the auto/foot brake guys. It looks like you may be able to use the brake switch for the same purpose. But i still gotta figure out if my polarity is right.

next time around i'll make the harness wires a foot longer, but i've got too many made now to change <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

The tape is actually heat shrink, easy to cut <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I'm finding the easy place to tap on the 98

There's just not a convenient place on the 98's at the PCM to tap for the clutch switch.

I just have to track down which connector on the passenger fender has the clutch switch to cruise control connection. All the interior harness to engine bay connections are there, and if you've got cruise it should be easy.

I just shipped them out w/ the info i had cause people were anxious <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Ok, what is the purpose of running a 2step? Are you hoping for more consistent 60foots, or are you hoping for better 60foots?

It'll work fine on a 98

The difference is the clutch switch connection. Functionally it's just fine.

My reason for the 2 step is to launch on boost. Tough to do w/ a 6 speed. Consistant launches, converter flash, already at WOT, etc. Pick your poison.

Very nice setup indeed. Easy to hook up. 2 wire hookup (and 2 piggyback connectors at the coils) one for an arm switch and one to the PCM for the clutch switch. Tried it out at 3000 rpm with the clutch activated trigger....

lets say at WOT it sounds totally BADASS with a very free flowing exhaust <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

Only complaint is that I wish the coil pack connector wires were a tad longer. I initially wanted to mount it right next to the air box but I couldn't run the wire in a neat fashion to the passenger coil pack <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Oh well just mounted it on the angled part right above the radiator <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I have a high stall A4. What would a 2-step do for me launch wise? I'm not sure how you use them.

I don't think it would benefit a non tranny braked automatic.
