Default Gonna need some advice on launching on new TC 4000 stall

ok, I think i have done quite well with a mostly stock car and street tires.

12.590 at 109.4 with a 1.87 60' at MIR.

Now with this 4000 3.somehting STR I'm gonna need more than street tires LOL.

Any experence launching on Nittos or BFGs?

I guess you just mash it from idle on Hoosier QTPs or MT ET Streets?

I think you're going to waste your time on Nittos and BFGs... you're going to destroy them. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Time to drive down the street and get some real tires at WW Racing. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Slicks, more consistent and stable sixty foot times. Get Hossier or MT.

I dont seem to have any problems with my NITTO'S
I average 1.60 on them and 1.50 on ET STREETS

well the vig stalls to 4000 and i have no issues with nittos, but its still more to be had. U can make your rear last a little longer with nittos in my opinion.

Joe's cutting 1.55's to 1.64's
im cutting 1.58's to 1.64's
few others are cutting upper 1.5's
lots of guys are cutting 1.6's consistently

if you can launch it, let me take it for a spin once <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

et streets will give you the traction u want without a doubt. But its alot harder and to me, means more cutting 1.5-6's on nittos <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Sure he can use Nittos, but he's got a 3.X STR! He's leaving a lot on the table w/o ET Streets. As 11SecondSS pointed out, I'll bet he leaves at least .1 in 60' time on the table, maybe as much as .2. That's a lot of ET to loose.

As for launching technique, you'll have to experiment. W/O good tires, just hammering it is out. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
