Default New Tranny, but cant decide???

Like many others on this board...I have grown tired of the 4L60E, and have decided it's time for a change. From what i'v read and researched I have two good choices...The TH400 and the 4L80E!!! It is kind of like pros and cons between these two trannys. The Turbo doesnt have an overdrive, while the 4L80E is quite heavy from what i've heard. HELP!!! I don't want my car to be parked in the garage while track tournements are flying by me. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

on a normal automatic t/a or camaro if you want to shift you have to pull the shifter all the way down to get in first then shift forward till 3rd. on a reverse 1st will be where 3rd is and you will shift down and the manual part means you have to shift all gears. you stop you put it in 1st then 2nd then third you stop again you do the same cant just put it in 3rd then go have to shift from 1st through. but dont let it scare you i was a little sceptical as well but i got used to it the first week and now i love it

You do want a shift light, as you'll be able to keep your eyes on the track and not the instruments.

i have one on mine it a good thing to have although after racing the car for a while you will get to know your car and you will know when to shift it by the sound of you car but hell it sure couldn't hurt.
