Only 348 hp with my cam and headers
I only dynoed at 348hp with my B1 cam, FLP's the rest in sig. My hp seems kind of low. I did have my computer programmed by MTI but the car still runs a little rough. What should I do, ls6 intake, stage 2 heads? Should I replace my granatelli maf with my stock one?

348 in an A4 is not bad.
since you are tuned, do not change the MAF - it could mess up the tuning?
What to do next:
1) take it to the track and see the improvement <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
2) depends upon the budget. LS6 intake is a good idea. If you have $$ for heads; go for it.

Re: Only 348 hp with my cam and headers
i only made 340 on the dyno and ran 11.66. big dyno numbers mean squat there are cars that dyno 420 to 450 and barely run mid 11s. the six speeds have big #s but most of them cant back it up on the track.obtw race weight is 3480 and check those gears out in sig.

I see you run the bottle as well. If you told MTI that you use nitrous, then the n/a programming will not be maximized for saftey.

Re: Only 348 hp with my cam and headers
I'm going to agree with everyone else. But here's a couple things to consider. You have an automatic so your going to dyno lower and run faster (with a nice converter). Also did MTI dyno tune the car? or just reprogram the computer to what they think is good for the cam without getting it on the dyno? If the later is the case, I would get the car tuned and ditch the Granatelli unit for a ported stock one. Another thing to consider is that a B1 is not really the hugest cam out there, in fact its rather small. So for an auto you are making pretty good numbers. I'd imagine the car pulls like crazy now.
Thanks for reading,

If I got rid of the Granatelli I don't know where I would get my car tunned at. If I found someone with a LS1 edit would that work?

Re: Only 348 hp with my cam and headers
I don't know what you guys are thinking, there is nothing wrong with his numbers. He has a 99 with the LS1 intake, stock heads, AND an automatic wtih a aftermarket convertor.
Had he had those exact same mods on an M6, he probably would have dynoed around 360-365. Give him some Stage 2 heads and an LS6 intake, and he'd easily be over 400 RWHP...
I think his numbers are pretty good for a 99 A4 with his mods.
And like others have said, its not the RWHP that matters, its the 1/4mi times. You could easily be in the high 11s already with those mods.

Re: Only 348 hp with my cam and headers
Thanks for the reply's guys. I guess I need to bring it to the track. Maybe think about some better tunning or a ls6 intake. I don't have the money for heads right now.
