Default wil my 60 suffer any with the cam?

im just wondering what to expect when i hit the track somwetime in the near future if i get all my bugs worked out.

but im usually in the solid 1.58-1.66's on nittos rolling into the throttle. But with what street time ive gotten so far with the 224/224 .563 114 cam in it feels like traction is harder to get than before.

so, will my 60's get slower? Or stay the same? better maybe?

i have a vig3600 and 3.23's/all bolt ons

i want to get on the track, but ive got alot of little tuning issues to work out

may improve since you probably gained torque in your stall speed range. but your tires will be the limiting factor

Should be harder to get traction especially on Nittos. If you do get traction, it will be really inconsistent at the track. Get some slicks on that thing.

Traction will be limited on nitto's unless your track prep is very good. I can't get the car to hook anymore with the 15x10.5 ET Streets at mine so im looking into a bigger tire to get my 60fts. back. A hard spin will get me a 1.70-1.68 60ft. and a soft spin will get me in the mid 1.6s The cam will give you more low end than you think,so be ready at the track for some major spinning if you flash the converter HARD. I have to raise my launch up about 300 rpms just to get the car to hook some low 1.7s on the streets. I love my cam but it's hard on LITTLE tires

my 60s went from 1.55 in AWESOME weather on a nitto, to 1.6s in the heat on nittos and et streets. i put a 224 cam in and it dropped back down to high 1.5s on the et streets in the heat

vig3200 stall.

Stu

HAHHA! its about time you get a manly stall

right now im still testing out these springs to see if anymore decide to break on me

i guess ill have to relearn my launch.. took me a year to get from 1.8's to 1.5's on nittos... now it will probably take another year to find the medium zone.

cant get slicks on here right now, cause if i break my year ill have to wait a while to fix. Baby mod is draining my paycheck and the crops just plain suck

but ill be happy with anything in the 11.8-9 range in this heat right now though

11.6's would be sweet though.. on nittos who knows
