Default PA Emissions on a TSP 225

Seriously considering putting a TSP 225 in my car. However I need to know if a good tuner like rapid can set it up so that it'll pass inspection.

or as another option if I had TSP grind for a 115 LSA would that help the emmissions situation?

Thanks.

If you have to take the sniffer test then a good tune and some "emissions pass" additive in the tank is the way id go. You should be fine.

If its only the PA emissions where they check your PCM then a good tune and no codes will pass it easily.

There is no visual on 96 and up vehicles.

does pa do the rollers or is it obd2 plug & play? If your gonna go on the rollers with the 225 which is normally ground on a 112 you wont pass...if its plug & play and they just check for codes as long as your codes are setup for not setting a code you should be fine as long as you pass the visual(if they give one).

Well i was told its PCM/gas cap test only for OBD-II as long as no codes are set your fine. now the guy that used to do my car refused to do it because of no cats when he has passed it previous times. So i guess i'll find out friday if it makes it at the new place.

The way I always understood it is you can run the camshaft with tuning so it passes the OBD-II scan & you'll be fine Its only if it fails the OBD-II test that they run further testing

tell the idiot that failed you for no cats to read the NEW law.
No visual on 96 and up now where there is an emissions test in place..thats nearly every county now.
(d) Visual inspection of emission control system. Vehicles registered in counties where there is not an emission inspection program under Chapter 177 (relating to emission inspection program), shall be checked visually for the presence of emission control components. These components may be original vehicle equipment or an equivalent aftermarket replacement component meeting the same standards. In addition to the exceptions under § 175.4 (relating to vehicles required to be inspected), this subsection does not apply to vehicles registered as collectible or classic motor vehicles as defined in 75 Pa.C.S. § 102 (relating to definitions).

http://www.pacode.com/secure/data/06...5/s175.80.html

you will still pass with a 114...I agree with the others...

He didnt fail me he told me that when i bring it in he wont pass it. I told him about the 96+ thing and he argued w/ me and told me "I went to class for this". no big loss to me he'll just loss all my business from my other vehicles to. I'm just gonna go back to where I always went before. may be a little farther away but i know they will be alright.

try to find somebody that will inspect it without the cats, then if it's not your daily driver, try to stay under 5000 miles/year. i just got mine inspected last month. it ran me 35 bucks and the guy gave me a print out of the emission tests, milage of car, etc. next year when i need to have it inspected, he said it will only cost $15 since i'll be emissions exempt. some counties are different though. up here in lackawanna i believe it's only gas cap and visual....not certain though.
