Default ST3500 and 400rwhp. What's your 60ft?

This Saturday is the last day my track is going to be open. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> So I'm starting to plan my winter mods.

You guys with 400+rwhp, what kind of 60fts are you getting with your ST3500.

Want to decide if I'm going to push it to a ST3800 or not.

Thanks!

Rick

I was stuck at 1.60 every launch no matter what I tried to do differently... I stepped up to a TP4400 which should work much better since my torque peak is at ~5000rpms. I should have it back on the road in a week...

Were you hooking?

Hell I've had a 1.598 best and NUMEROUS 1.60's.

I've seen a 1.55 in a sig before. There's got to be a 1.49 out there somewhere.

yeah it flat hooked either from idle or from 2500rpm... just couldn't get any more... I was using 26x9x15 hoosiers with the stock 10-bolt with 3.23's... I'm hoping the jump to a 12-bolt with 3.73's and the 4400 will help me out... I think my powerband was just a little too high for the st3500...

Best 60ft from a ST3500 is with a 3000+rpm brake at the line.

You say you haven't switched them out yet? If you've never tried a 3000rpm stall at the line yet, I'd go do that before you switch them out. I think you'll blow that 1.60 out of the water. Hell, I'll guaruntee you will.

well, truth is the motor went south and I should have it back together in a week... So the 4400 is going in, it should be a better converter for me all around. I'm keeping the 3500 for a little while though just in case, as I know it worked well....

Ditch the ET streets and run ET drags at the track. 26x10x15's. If you are still runing the 3.23 gear you wont break anything. I can't say it enough ET DRAGS! ET DRAGS! ET DRAGS! 10-12psi btw.

LIGHTEN IT UP!!!!

I have pulled several 1.57s with the stock cam and ET Streets. In 2400 DA , I'm getting consistant 1.60-1.61s. I expect some serious improvements soon ,once I recover from the 918 spring break virus.I do agree that drag slicks are in order. i am at the verge of exceding the limits of the ET streets. I love my ST3500 , but I think it's a bit much when trying to launch on the street.
