I really don't think Kooks will even give you that much more over the other cheaper LTs out there anyway but they will make good power (depending on Y pipe choice) and are stainless.
The Edelbrocks look like a good LT, but their finish might not look too good after a few weeks/months (painted only).

I have a set of these w/ the y-pipe waiting to go on. So I don't have any numbers, but they look sweet. I think they are the best value in LS1 headers out right now. And based off the design, they probably make some of the best power, maybe 2nd only to those $1350 QTP's w/ high velocity collectors.

FYI we're an Edelbrock dealer. The header part number is #6570 and the y-pipe is #6571. We sell the headers for $374.00 and the y-pipe for $92.00. So far only happy customers
Are those Headers coated for that price ?

I think these are the Edelbrock Victor series,
you can find them on the Edelbrock web
site with a little digging. I Googled up "Edelbrock
6570" and found lots of hits. Look like race-only,
no AIR fittings (?). I think I would strip their
paint and give the POR-15 high temp cast
iron exhaust paint a try (as I have a can of
it sitting about).
What I couldn't find, was any way of online
ordering or any header info at all on the
proheads.com site. I guess that must be a
call-up deal.
But the main question I think is about fit - see
a lot of people beefing about other brands' Y
pipes not fitting right, or the junctions (H-Y-I)
leaking, etc. - so I will be keen to hear from
folks who've actually hung 'em and run 'em.

They do not come coated, painted black. The do have provisions for AIR if you want it.
I've seen posts that install is about as easy as can be for LS1 headers. I'll let you know when I do mine.
