Default The Hot Rods race results for 9/21 & 9/22

Saturday at Lone Star Racewacy Park I went 4 rounds. I red lighted in round 4 with a .451 the car rolled which caused me to red light.
It is hard sometimes to keep a M6 from rolling in the lights when you can't use a linelock on the starting line.

Madman was with me making adjustment to the Hot Rod all night. We now have his tq arm on and solid motor mounts. She will be ready for the Thunder Shootout. Oh by the way I cut a .501 light and run a 1 over in the 1st round.

Sunday at TAD, I went to the finals again.(6 rounds) I lost with a .519 with a 6 light to his .519 with a 9 light. I broke out by .02 and he ran right on his dail in. With this weekend race,(scored major points) I am pretty sure that a will be going to the bracket finals on Oct. 19th & 20th.

No new times this weekend, Madman is still making adjustments to the Hot Rod to get her down into the 1.4's 60 fts.

I will be racing Friday, Saturday at Sealy, Tx. and TAD on Sunday this next weekend. Iam ready for the Thunder Shootout are You?

PS. I cut a .501 again in round #1 at TAD. Two in two days. Very Cool don't ya think?

Why can't you use the line lock, NHRA rules allow you to run it, so I was wondering why?
Good job racing, I am in a red light slump, I keep on loosing in the second or third round from red lights.

George,
Thank you.
Practice is the key. Day and night is different. Practice, practice and more practice.

mykdriver,
Thank ya for the kind words. I can't use a linelock in Mod Et. No electronics. Just footbrake.

FastAL,
Thank ya. I practice 100 lights a day on my practice tree. I also race every weekend that it dosen't rain. I will race Friday at one track, Saturday at another, and Sunday at another. You could say Iam very hard core. I love to race.

Not too shabby... Those lights are better than I'm getting with the delay box!

I almost have everything dialed in for pretty consistent .50x lights, though. I'm trying to get used to the difference in daytime and nighttime reactions, though. It seems to be a pretty big difference in my case. I still need some more practice.

Hey Coach, when does your track shut down for the season? Do you race at HRP? If so what is the altitude there. and what is the average DA?

My Season will be over in Dec. Yes, I do race at HRP. The track is at sea level. Avg. DA?
