Default ARE does it again

I took a nice drive down to TMP to watch some racing and see Wade run his car again. To make a long story short two records went down today. Fastest LS1 and Fastest Stock style Suspension F-Body period.

9.046 @ 153 mph.

Congrats once again to ARE and the bar is getting higher and higher. It will probably be about 2 weeks before they go to the track again as the suspension needs some tuning.

Well done guys 8's is getting closer <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

So close to the 8s! If the weather was just a few degrees cooler it would've been 8.9s for sure!!

Awesome stuff!!

Warbird, My understanding is there already are multiple 3rd Gens in the 8s on TA style Suspension. Beyond that, its yet to be seen if this is faster then any 4th Gen passes. George B went 9.04x also at a faster 155. I'll hopefully know down to thousandth later tonite.

Though its probably a moot point as I'm sure that as soon as some traction and chassis work is dialed in, and come the better weather, the 9.04 mark will be history.

I'll await your call on the 9.04 and I agree it will likley be a moot point soon <img border="0" alt="[angel]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_angel.gif" />

Thats awesome <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

I was drooling over the weather today for Toronto standards.
Sunny, cool air and fairly low humidity. They'll get 8's I am sure <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I am going out tomorrow morning. Hoping for mid high 11's on stock clutch (pathetic in comparision LOL <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> )
cheers,
Chris

Welp we finally have an answer and George Baxter still holds the top dog crown by 3/1000ths. George ran 9.043 @ 155. I think there is a great chance that title will fall soon.

Damn this top dog race is close <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Keep moving Wade <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
